Smoothie Devotion

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, the Hotel Wifi seems to be working this time. Which is nice.

But that’s not what I’m actually writing about today.

Instead, I wanted to talk about a certain devotion to smoothies. You see, I happen to really, really like the McDonald’s Mango Pineapple smoothies. They’re tart, sweet, fruity, unhealthy… basically everything a perfect smoothie should be.

And so, even though I was really cold tonight, and needed an extra blanket at the hotel, I greatly enjoyed my large mango pineapple smoothie from Mickey D’s.

What silly food enjoyments do you have?

Test whether fruit is bad by trying it!

Hi!

A bit ago, I discovered I have an interesting tendency where fruit is concerned. If I think a piece of fruit is bad (like a blueberry), I test my hypothesis. By trying it.

Naturally, I’m happier when I’m wrong.

Anyway. Have a lovely day!

GISHWHES 2017 is happening and has great commandments

Hi!

So. There’s this thing called “GISHWHES”: the “Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen”. It’s been happening every year for the past few years. This is its seventh year. It’s happening right now, and it’ll be going on for another few days. (I don’t participate, but I’m aware of others who do.)

And it has fantastic “commandments” to go along with it. They’re worth reading.

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Remarkable Kickstarter

Greetings, readers!

I was recently informed of an interesting new Kickstarter. It is for a toy called “Algobrix”.

The premise is to teach kids coding, tangibly. The campaign explains it far better than I can; you may want to check it out.

Have a happy Sunday!

Chrysler Pacifica: Evil AI

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

Yesterday, I was on a road trip with a family member. And we discovered something. Evil AIs are here, and they live in Chrysler Pacificas.

THE THING WAS “HELPFUL” TO THE POINT OF NOT BEING USABLE.

Specifically, we wanted to be able to play an audiobook through an Android tablet, on the car’s speakers. So, we plugged the thing in, via a USB/micro-USB charger.

You know.

The car, however, had other plans. First, it didn’t recognize the tablet. (Go figure.)

Then, after I plugged my phone in, the car KNEW that what we REALLY wanted was for it to start auto-playing music on the phone. With no option to choose the Audible ap.

It was really special.

Eventually, the only fix we found was to buy a knew aux/aux cable.

Still. Dang AI!

How about you? Any “helpful”/evil AI experiences?

An Art Altercation, Apparently

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, there’s apparently an art altercation going on. I think that what happened is an artist worked with a chemistry company to create a dangerous(ish), but awesome new thing to make art with: The Blackest Black. Seriously, the stuff makes the thing “painted” with it look like a black hole.

Anyway. Supposedly, some artist sculptor has access to the substance (“Vantablack”) and isn’t sharing. (In part because it’s not exactly safe!!) and that has other artists ticked.

So, there’s a feud, with a different artist making paints preventing the first artist from buying them.

Because art.

Happy Saturday!

A puzzle for you…

Hi!

So. First of all, good news. This should be posted on time.

Second, I have a puzzle for you. Inspired by true events from yesterday.

I walked into where I’m living. The thermostat was set to 80f. It felt delightfully cool.

Which of these things are true?

1. It was really, REALLY hot outside.

2. The thermostat has a ridiculously high fluctuation. (i.e., setting to 80 might result in temperatures well below 80.)

3. The energy bill this month will be high.

4. It was worth it.

You have 25 days. Begin now.

Happy Friday!

Roller Coasters with VR!!!!

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, technology is so cool. There’s now a roller coaster in Sea World, Orlando, that has revamped a ride… with virtual reality. An article has a video included, and it looks pretty fantastic. With the VR element, the ride turns into an underwater thriller thing.

Doesn’t that sound cool?

Anyway. Have a lovely day!
