WHO thought “Mountain Chicken Frog” was a good name?

Greetings, readers!

Apparently, there is an endangered species in your world, where the last two known specimen are going to be introduced to each other to try to increase the number in existence. Although that is admirable, that is not what stood out to me about that article.

Instead, what made an impact is the name of the species: “Mountain Chicken Frog.”

I admit to some definite confusion in multiple regards.

1) Why are they called that? Alas, there is no explanation in the article.

This leads to point 2) who thought that was a good name? How did somebody get away with naming an animal after a different type of animal, for no obvious reason? The closest I can think of is the Duck-billed platypus. There, however, the creature at least has an explanation written into its name. It is not a “duck platypus.” It is a duck-billed platypus. The Chicken Frog has no similarly obvious explanation.

Thus, once more, I am left entirely confused by your world.

Have a lovely Thursday.

Herding Dogs!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Yesterday, I had a fun experience. I got to watch a Herd-Dog exhibition!

It featured a lovely border collie. The show started with small ducks for the dog to guide through various obstacles. It was REALLY cool– the dog was so intense!

It was the sort of thing where even when the pup was lying down, you could tell that it was completely because the director had commanded it– the dog was lying down, but every muscle was tense with concentration.

Even better, the dog clearly was loving it.

If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend watching something like that!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So… my little Stalker is still following me. Watching me.

Fluffy Puppy spying on me from behind her wall of blanket

I see you watching me…

If she weren’t so adorable, I’d possibly think she was in the pay of rainbows.

Oh, not THAT conspiracy AGAIN!

You’re right. It’s not! Because clearly she’s not in league with the rainbows. Just look at her!

So, yeah.

Hiya, Fluffsters!

I’m not sure if you’ve seen this yet, but there’s apparently a dog that somehow or another accidentally ran a half-marathon.

I’m still not sure how this happens. I mean, did the person walking her dog also run? Did the dog just run away, and the human not call the pup back?

There are just so many questions.

Anyway, have a lovely day!

Panda and SNOW! :D

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, for those of you who aren’t aware, the East Coast of the US has apparently been going through a nearly record-breaking snowstorm thingy.

One of the perks of that, though, is that a panda in a zoo there got to frolic in the snow. And it’s really cute.

Have a lovely Monday!

The fox and the snow

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, I saw one of the funniest things yesterday. It was a video with foxes divebombing the snow. And so I tried to look it up on YouTube. I wasn’t able to find the one that I had been thinking of. But, I was able to find the source material. And it turns out that it’s how foxes hunt.

Have a lovely Wednesday!

Update: For some reason, it appears the video isn’t showing up. This is the link to it on YouTube.

I sincerely hope this video was intentionally ridiculous

Greetings, readers!

I encountered this Buzzfeed cat fort video last night. I sincerely hope that it was intentionally overacted to the point of absurdity. Otherwise, it would provide an incredibly depressing insight into human nature.

Enjoy.
