A puzzle for you…

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So. First of all, good news. This should be posted on time.

Second, I have a puzzle for you. Inspired by true events from yesterday.

I walked into where I’m living. The thermostat was set to 80f. It felt delightfully cool.

Which of these things are true?

1. It was really, REALLY hot outside.

2. The thermostat has a ridiculously high fluctuation. (i.e., setting to 80 might result in temperatures well below 80.)

3. The energy bill this month will be high.

4. It was worth it.

You have 25 days. Begin now.

Happy Friday!

Roller Coasters with VR!!!!

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, technology is so cool. There’s now a roller coaster in Sea World, Orlando, that has revamped a ride… with virtual reality. An article has a video included, and it looks pretty fantastic. With the VR element, the ride turns into an underwater thriller thing.

Doesn’t that sound cool?

Anyway. Have a lovely day!

Drone-Spearing now has a Runestone

Hi!

So, for those of you who don’t remember: A while ago, there was an instance where somebody at a historical reenactment group thingy threw a spear at a drone with a camera on it… and hit the drone.

I recently saw an update to the post. It’s worth a read.

Enjoy!

Apparently, there is bullet-resistant glass and scientists just figured out why.

Greetings, readers!

Apparently, there is a type of glass structure that is extremely strong in one part, to the point of stopping bullets, but is extremely fragile in another point. For a while, it appears, nobody was able to figure out why.

And then yesterday, an article from the Smithsonian came out, with an explanation.

It is quite interesting, and well worth a read. Enjoy.

Apparently “Texas” means “Crazy” in Norway.

Hi!

So, I learned something new yesterday.

Congratulations.

Thank you, Fluffy.

Apparently, in Norway, the word “Texas” is used to mean “Crazy”. There’s a BBC article about it and everything!

So, yeah. I thought that was amusing.

How about you?

Grading System for Cellphone Batteries

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, I’ve realized something recently. School culture has majorly rubbed off on me.

I’m especially thinking about this in the context of cellphone batteries. More to the point, I tend to think of “how good I am with where my battery is” based on grade percents. If I’m in the high 90 percent left area, I’m great. 80s, good, but not great. 70s? Questionable. Anything below that is distressing.

What about you?

Sometimes I wonder why my upstairs neighbors have 3am dance parties

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, my upstairs neighbors seem to be very… energetic. They’re not exactly really loud, they just stamp around their apartment. At odd times. In odd ways.

It means that sometimes, I wonder why my neighbors are apparently having 3:00am dance parties at 3am. Or 10:30pm. Or 4 in the morning.

The rest of the time, I just accept it.

When the pondering does happen, I’m actually sometimes tempted to see if they’re even human. (I live in a pet-friendly place. It doesn’t sound like a dog, but you never can tell.)

But then I’d know. And that defeats the fun. Right now, I can speculate about their dance parties.

If I were to find out that it’s just for the sake of exercise, that would be so much more boringer.

“Boringer”?

Yes.

Hush.

Anyway. So, yep. Conundrums. I think I’ve pretty much decided not to ask. After all, I can always change my mind in that direction. But I wouldn’t be able to go back, after I’ve asked. Or even found out who they are.

Yup. Fun times.

Happy Sunday!

Unicorn Frappuccinos are a thing…

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So. I had been totally unaware of this… But apparently, Starbucks has been / is selling a “Unicorn Frappucino” for a limited time. (Today is the next-to-last day to get one.)

And there have been some rather hilarious reviews. In part because the baristas (baristos?) seem not to like making it.

What especially has me confused is that it’s a frappuccino… but it doesn’t have any coffee. SO, I mean, what’s the point of calling it a Frap?

Anyway. Happy Saturday!
