Happy Leap-Day!

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Happy Leap-Day! Today marks the first that Fluff has been around for.

So, in honor of that, here’s a quick list of ways to celebrate.

a) Do one more jumping-jack than usual. After all, what’s a leap-day without leaping?
2) Watch “Pirates of Penzance.” Trust me on this one.
iii) Write a petition for a leap-day-of-the-week, for every leap-year. It would be fun to have an extra day of weekend! (So, an 8-day week, once every four years.)

And that’s about what I have…

Anyway, enjoy this extra day of the year!

Rather Amusing Mathematical New Year’s Resolutions

Greetings, readers, and happy New Year!

I hope that 2016 goes well for you.

In the category of traditions: I am not presenting any personal “New Year’s Resolutions.” However, a friend shared these mathematician related new year’s resolutions, and I found them amusing. (They may require some understanding of more advanced mathematics. I still think they are worth sharing, however.)

I hope you have a lovely beginning of your year.

Seasonal Songs: “Christmastime”

Hiya, Fluffsters!

Happy “Day after Christmas”!

I’m realizing there’s a less-commonly heard song in Churches stores and stuff that I totally forgot to slip into this series earlier, so I’m including it even though it’s a Christmas song and it’s no longer before Christmas. And sorry for that run-on sentence.

Anyway. I like this one primarily because the background singers (after you get to where the song actually starts, which is about two minutes in) sound a bit like bells. It’s kinda like carol of the bells, except that it’s not as commonly done and stuff.

Although the song itself is known as “Christmastime”, I think of it as “Ring Christmas Bells.” So, yeah.

Anyway. Have a lovely Saturday!

Seasonal Music: Fum Fum Fum

Merry Christmas, readers!

I hope you have a lovely holiday.

In honor of Christmas, I found a very nice arrangement of another Christmas song, in a version that I had not previously encountered. It is a version of “Fum Fum Fum”.

I hope you enjoy it.

Seasonal Songs: How Great our Joy

Greetings, readers!

I had almost forgotten about this favorite Christmas Carol of mine: “How Great Our Joy”. This version I am sharing with you is another Cambridge Singers version. It alas ends with a major chord instead of in the key that the rest of the song is in. However, it is one of the better tone qualities around, and thus I am sharing this version. I hope you enjoy.

Have a lovely Christmas Eve!

Seasonal Songs: “Green Chri$tma$”

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So this one I think qualifies more as “social commentary” than “Christmas Music”, but it’s still seasonal. And it has some music. So, yeah. I’m sharing it. Tough, live with it.

And have a lovely Tuesday!

Seasonal Music: While Shepherds Watched

Greetings, readers!

Today’s piece is “While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night”. It is a Christmas Hymn that not that many people are aware of. I certainly do not know it that well; I encountered it only very recently on YouTube. However, it is a lovely piece. I hope you enjoy it.

I hope you have a lovely Monday.

Seasonal Songs: I’m Getting Nothing For Christmas

Hiya, Fluffsters!

So, I love my family. This song is one that I actually grew up with around the holidays, and it didn’t occur to me until recently that this is actually an uncommon seasonal song. So, enjoy!

And have a good day!
