Greetings, readers!
I recently encountered an interesting phenomenon. Apparently, there is at least one group that utilizes cardboard to create armor and machines to stage melees and other events.
I do not particularly care about the soundtrack on this particular video, but it provides a demonstration of the type of event I was referring to.

Greetings, readers!
I sincerely hope that you have seen seasons 1-3 of Sherlock. I also hope you have seen Episode 1 of Season 4.
I hope this in part because the last two episodes of series 4 (episodes 2-3) are presently available on the PBS website.
Although I was not particularly a fan of episode 1 of the series 4, it was required to set up the rest of the season. (That is, episodes 2 and 3.)
And Episodes 2 and 3 entirely delivered.
For context: I enjoyed season 1, really liked series 2, was moderately indifferent about series 3, and was not necessarily a fan of the New Year’s Special that came out last year. However, I personally think that episodes 4.2 and 4.3 were amazing. I am pleased to call myself a Sherlock fan.
I have only watched the first episode. So far, however, it is rather droll. Part of its “charm” is that it does not let you forget that these are characters in a story. There is a narrator with deadpan commentary. The dialog is borderline stilted. Everything is just slightly overacted for the sake of melodrama. The narrator constantly reminds you can stop watching the show.
In fact, the intro song rather nicely demonstrates the tone.
When combined with Neil Patrick Haris’s acting and singing ability, it creates a rather droll tone, in a disturbed sort of way.
I am not sure if I recommend it yet, but I did find the first episode moderately enjoyable.

Greetings, readers!
As some of you may recall, exactly one year ago, I posted about a rather fantastic classical music “mashup”. That piece had a variety of famous composers’ music combined, on the piano, to make a rather lovely sounding piece.
The creator of that mashup has now released the second one.

From what I understand, “Ringing In (or out) the New Year” is a tradition some follow.
In honor of that, TotalFluff will be running a series with a different Carillon (or Bell Tower) YouTube video between now and the beginning of the new year. The first is a playing of the Harry Potter theme.
