About Fluffy McGiggles

Greetings, reader! I am Fluffy McGiggles. In my world, I was an actress of the strongest sort, the melodramatic sort. Recently, I find myself confined to this... website, as its anthrompomorphization and personality. The Webmaster and I have a bit of a dispute as to how this should be run. The Webmaster can change anything I do, but I can also change anything the Webmaster does. However, the Webmaster can also delete me at will. So that means I'm temporarily behaving myself. This is my own choice, however, contrary to anything The Webmaster may say. So, don't blame me for the over-the-topness of the website. You have been warned.

Amusing Twitter Account

Greetings, readers!

I recently encountered a Twitter account that seems well worth following. Or at least, well worth spending time reading tweets of. It is a “Brooding YA (young adult) Hero” Twitter Account. Whoever is authoring the tweets is doing a masterful job of capturing the “Brooding Hero” tropes.

I hope you enjoy, and have a reasonable Monday.

Every day is a gift. Sometimes it’s what the cat brought in.

Greetings, readers!

This is a friendly reminder of an expression: “Every Day is a Gift.”

I understand that this sentiment may cause some undue angst. After all, not every day goes spectacularly well.

In light of this, I would like to remind you that simply because something is a gift, that does not necessarily imply that it is good. Ans an example, think about what cats have a tendency to give to people they love. From what I understand, it is often things like dead animals. With blood. And gunk. And other messy things. Most normal people would not find that to be an enjoyable thing.

Some days are like that. They may be a gift, but they are not always seem excellent.

And as a counter to that negativity, I would also like to remind you that even a dead mouse might be useful in the case of, for example, a zombie apocalypse. If you have a severe shortage of food, even a dead mouse might be useful.

On that “cheerful” thought, I wish you a fair Saturday.

Book Trailers are also a “Thing”

Greetings, readers!

In addition to trailers-for-trailers being a “thing”, “Book Trailers” also exist.

In fact, there are two of them for the upcoming “Trials of Apollo” series from Rick Riordan.

I am not entirely sure what to make of this.

Have a lovely Friday.

WHO thought “Mountain Chicken Frog” was a good name?

Greetings, readers!

Apparently, there is an endangered species in your world, where the last two known specimen are going to be introduced to each other to try to increase the number in existence. Although that is admirable, that is not what stood out to me about that article.

Instead, what made an impact is the name of the species: “Mountain Chicken Frog.”

I admit to some definite confusion in multiple regards.

1) Why are they called that? Alas, there is no explanation in the article.

This leads to point 2) who thought that was a good name? How did somebody get away with naming an animal after a different type of animal, for no obvious reason? The closest I can think of is the Duck-billed platypus. There, however, the creature at least has an explanation written into its name. It is not a “duck platypus.” It is a duck-billed platypus. The Chicken Frog has no similarly obvious explanation.

Thus, once more, I am left entirely confused by your world.

Have a lovely Thursday.

Updated Styles

Greetings, readers.

I am pleased to inform you that there has been an update concerning style-guides, and this particular realm. It is no longer necessary to capitalize the word “internet” when using the AP style-guide.

I hope you have a pleasant week.

Totally Pointless Website I Had Forgotten About

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers.

I recently re-encountered a rather odd, but surprisingly mesmerizing, website.

It is called “Cat Bounce.” It is a website where you can, I kid you not, bounce cats.

To use it, you click on a cat picture, and then release. The website does the rest. (Although you can reposition the cats as desired.)

Happy Saturday.

Two-Sentence Scene I am Rather Pleased With

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I recently decided to try to create a story, or at least a scene, with only two sentences. Here is what I came up with.

“Well, that could have gone better,” the girl said as she surveyed the scorch-marks in the remains of a kitchen.
“No, really?”

I hope you have a better day than my characters just did.
