About Fluffy McGiggles

Greetings, reader! I am Fluffy McGiggles. In my world, I was an actress of the strongest sort, the melodramatic sort. Recently, I find myself confined to this... website, as its anthrompomorphization and personality. The Webmaster and I have a bit of a dispute as to how this should be run. The Webmaster can change anything I do, but I can also change anything the Webmaster does. However, the Webmaster can also delete me at will. So that means I'm temporarily behaving myself. This is my own choice, however, contrary to anything The Webmaster may say. So, don't blame me for the over-the-topness of the website. You have been warned.

Music for Halloween (1)

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

As you are probably aware, Halloween is coming in just over a week.

In honor of that, I am going to share some of my favorite seasonally appropriate music.

The first is “Night on a Bald Mountain” by Mussorgsky.

There are several reasons this is a great piece for the season.

First, it is naturally sinister. The combination of fast-paced strings, quick tempo, dissonance, and deep brass lead to a delightfully sinister tone.

Second, as another interesting fact, this piece was not performed until after the attributed composer’s death.

Also, according to Wikipedia, the version we are familiar with is actually a variation of an arrangement of the original.

I hope you enjoy.

Old Educational Software Available Online

Greetings, readers!

I was recently informed that there are some old education games available online for free. There is quite a large collection of them, and they should be able to take up some of your time this Saturday. I expect that many of them will be well below your level, but they might be droll regardless.

Oooh, it looks like they have Treasure Mathstorm!

I used to love that one!

Yep, definitely checking out this website…

I guess the Webmaster also gives an endorsement of this.

Enjoy.

Interesting Dystopian Story

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I recently encountered a rather interesting story. It is called “By the Waters of Babylon.” It deals with some slightly sinister themes, and thus I thought it appropriate for the month of Halloween. As it is also a Friday, and since you therefore have more time, I thought it also appropriate due to its relatively longer length than some things previously shared.

Happy reading.

Charming Star Wars Costume

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I admit to being quite surprised that I am posting this before the Webmaster. However, I will not complain.

Recently, I found a video of an utterly charming home-made child’s Star Wars costume. The parents made a costume so their young child could be a tauntaun rider from Star Wars.

I am highly impressed by how the costume turned out; that takes a great deal of skill.

Have a lovely Wednesday.

A Game Theorist’s Response to Children

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I encountered a rather fun article yesterday concerning responding to kids. The author suggested using game theoretic ideas to respond to children’s protestations of unfairness.

I thought it was a well thought out article and worth a read.

Have a lovely Sunday.

The newest Star Wars Trailer seems to have spoilers.

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers.

As you are probably aware at this point, a new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer was released. It is, naturally, a fairly decent piece of cinematography (from what I can tell.)

However, it does have what may be extensive spoilers.

One thing I found interesting was how much the trailer music sounded like something I would expect from Two Steps from Hell, rather than typical Star Wars trailer music.

I am also surprised about how much family background we are given about the main character.

However, the poster does look rather fantastic.

The movie does seem to have potential.

Have a lovely weekend.

Interesting new robot from Toyota

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I was recently informed that Toyota created a small “companion robot”. The footage is rather adorable.

One thing I found quite fascinating, however, is the different emphases given in different videos.

The one above, for instance, has an implied emphasis on “driving”, and thus has a bit of a commute and travel companion emphasis. A different one, however, has a stronger emphasis on the general companionship the robot can provide.

I found the differences interesting.

Enjoy, and have a lovely day!

Amusing Animal Photos

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I was recently informed that there is a website devoted to amusing photos of some of your world’s animals.

I am incredibly impressed by the photos some people are able to take. It must take tremendous skill to capture images so perfectly!

Enjoy.
