I read “Out of the Silent Planet”!

Hello!

I recently read C.S. Lewis’s “Out of the Silent Planet”. It’s the first of his space trilogy.

I enjoyed it. It was not, however, exactly like I was expecting. It was exactly like I should have expected, but I didn’t actually quite believe it. You see, people had told me it was “C.S. Lewis writes a sci-fi story”. And it really is. But just like when people told me Firefly was a space western, I didn’t actually expect the cows, I didn’t expect “Out of the Silent Planet” to actually really so closely follow the ideals of sci-fi story-telling.

It was fun.

Enjoy!

I think my phone started autoplaying cartoons?

Hi!

Somehow or another, something happened and my YouTube suggested movies was pretty much exclusively animated Mickey Mouse cartoons.

I think that what happened is that I accidentally watched a video a friend sent, on my phone, NOT in incognito mode, and that somehow I never turned autoplay off?

I’m honestly not sure what else could possibly have happened.

How about you?

Questions for Oneself

Greetings, readers!

A question came up a couple days ago. Is it possible to ignore oneself?

Obviously…? Just have a blank mind?

No, not necessarily. You see, in order to be ignored, you need to be thinking something or making a noise. Otherwise, it would likely not be possible to be ignored. (Although that might actually be an interesting question for a different post, now that I think about it.)

But if you are tuning yourself out, that would imply turning off thought. The turning off of thought, in turn, would imply the lack of something to be ignored. Thus, it may not be possible.

What are your thoughts, readers?

I am familiar enough with Bob Ross to find this amusing

Greetings, readers!

I want to start this post by saying that I have not actually watched any Bob Ross. I am aware, however, that he provides sweet, inspirational commentary to go with his paintings.

With that disclaimer, welcome to the meat of the post:

A user on Twitter claims to have generated a page of script using a bot, based on over 1000 hours of Bob Ross videos. The results are amusing. (I would recommend following the link and expanding the images.)

Enjoy.
