Hi!

So, there’s this YouTube channel–

–Isn’t there always…

Hush.

Anyway. This one does fan music, in the style of The Thing being fanned over.

And that sentence broke, but I’m not taking time to change it.

So. As I was saying. This guy just created one for Stranger Things. And it sounds, as expected, basically exactly right.

Enjoy! (Head’s up: Video contains spoilers for Season 2.)

Simon’s Cat Thanksgiving Episode!

Since I’m apparently not ready to be done with Thanksgiving left (hey, I still have some leftovers!), here’s another Thanksgiving-ish post. This time, it’s a Simon’s Cat episode that was made in honor of Thanksgiving.

It makes me very thankful that I didn’t need to deal with animals at Thanksgiving for the first time in a while.

Enjoy!

Adorable Book of Kids’ Recipes

Hi!

Somebody shared this a couple days ago, and I thought it was amusing. Some teacher apparently asked 5-year-olds how they would make certain recipes, and turned the responses into an actual recipe book. Pictures were then posted to Twitter. And the results are adorably hilarious. Like, seriously. Flour can get measured in minutes here.

Anyway. Enjoy!

Hi!

As you’re probably aware, the day after U.S. Thanksgiving is called “Black Friday”, and there are lots of sales and such.

And a lot of folks have composed methods of how to work through it the best. Here’s mine.

a) Go online. This is helpful, as you can see what’s for sale.

2) DON’T GO OUTSIDE. Like, seriously? There are people out there. Just stay inside!

iii. Buy Online. Again. Advantages include: NO CROWDS. And NO PARKING ISSUES.

last: Wait for Cyber Monday, if necessary. Digital age, folks. Lots of online sales will happen on Monday. And once more, you don’t need to deal with that “real world” stuff.

So, there you have it! My tips for surviving Black Friday.

What’s your usual method?

Music for Thanksgiving

Hi!

I was recently reminded that Christian music that talks about giving thanks, or even praise, or anything that remotely resembles harvest or plants or earth or anything totally counts for Thanksgiving. So, here are a few of my favorite John Rutter pieces that I’m now calling “appropriate for Thanksgiving”.

Have a lovely day!

The Purpose of Baked Goods

Hello!

So. I have a discussion question for you.

Do bagels and bread actually serve any higher purpose, than to be creamcheese transporters? (Or possibly Lox transporters, if you have that kind of money.)

And if not, does it really matter what you put in them, since you theoretically put enough cream cheese on to not be able to taste the thing?

With that discussion, have a great day!
