Happy (day late) 50th, Star Trek!

Greetings, readers!

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the TV show “Star Trek.”

In honor of that, a website ran an article about an astounding cross-stitch tribute.

Unfortunately, they do not share the full image that is used as the link-image within the article. Thus, I needed to track down those images and am uploading them myself. They are amazing, and worth it.

However, these pictures do (indirectly) come from the website listed above.

Enjoy.

Relatively new, brief extra look for Beauty and the Beast

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

There is a new small behind-the-scenes out for the forthcoming live action version of Beauty and the Beast. It is actually primarily an advertisement for additional features found on the digital release of the classic version that came out two days ago. However, the little seen here is worth watching. (As a note, the teaser trailer is also included in this.)

Enjoy.

Astonishingly good coffee flavor

Hi!

I don’t recall if I’ve mentioned this vendor before, but there’s a company called “Crazy Cups” that sells k-cup coffees in a variety of flavors. I recently got an amazing coupon from them, for 40% off their normal price, and so I ordered more coffee than will actually fit in the Coffee Corner. (Woops.)

Anyway. One of the things I ordered was a small sampler that I’m now really wishing I’d ordered more of. It’s the decaf “apple pie a-la-mode” flavor. And it is surprisingly good. It tastes a bit like those dried apple-chip things. I’m enjoying it a lot, and will definitely be ordering more… when space and budget allow it.

Anyway. Have a lovely day!

Sewing technique I REALLY want to try

Hi!

So yesterday, (I have no clue why,) I randomly remembered a picture of sewing stuff that a friend did. And I was curious, and wanted to look it up. The technique is called “Smocking”. And it is gorgeous.

I ended up finding a YouTube tutorial, and now I really want to try it. Problem, of course, is that I have no time. And should really be going to bed, or being productive… So, yea. I’ll leave a tutorial video with you, though.

Have fun!

Some day I’ll start writing these BEFORE my words blur together.

Some day, I’m going to start (consistently) writing these fluff posts before my words and thoughts start blurring together. Today/yesterday is not that day.

Instead of trying to ramble on like I usually do, though, I’m actually going to do something about the rambliness, and go to bed. And because today/tomorrow (your time / my time) is a holiday, I may not even set an alarm.

Happy Labor Day!

Advantages of Southwest vs. American Airlines

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello!

I recently did a bit of traveling. I flew out on an American Airlines flight, and came back via Southwest. And the two together reminded me of some of the differences, and why I’m generally opting for Southwest these days.

1) Southwest has always had enough room for carry-on baggage. Every time I’ve flown American, however, they always ask for volunteers to gate-check bags. If not enough people volunteer, they end up being gatechecked anyway. That doesn’t happen with Southwest, from my experience.

2) Boarding. Boarding with Southwest is so much faster. There aren’t assigned seats, and so people are able to go fairly quickly, since they folks at the beginning of the boarding process can just keep going if they don’t like a spot, or if it’s too crowded.

3) Snacks! I know this is a silly thing, but Southwest usually gives out free peanuts or pretzels. And sometimes cookies, or other things like that. American charges for food.

So, next time you fly, you might want to keep these things in mind. Happy travelling!

What To Do Today

Hi!

Happy Saturday!

In case you were bored, here’s an idea for an activity. (First, context: Movies leave Netflix at times.)

So, “Lilo & Stitch” and “The Emperor’s New Groove” are both currently on Netflix. That changes pretty soon, though. So if you enjoyed them, and want to rewatch them while it’s still “Netflix Easy”, I’d recommend doing so soon.

Have fun!

Does Firefox Know Me?

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi!

So, the other day, I was actually using Firefox instead of Chrome. And this happened.

Don't let dress codes get in the way of fun socks!

It summarizes my philosophy towards socks!

Seriously. Several of my favorite Christmas/Birthday gifts the past few years have included fun socks! I was inspired by a teacher at a place with definite dresscodes for everything except the socks. So, yep. It’s as though Firefox knows me!

Which, again, it shouldn’t. My main browsing isn’t through Firefox. Oh well. Fun times!

Happy Thursday!

ALL the U-Haul Trucks!

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello!

So, I’m currently in an apartment complex that does yearly leases, generally from September to September.

I was especially reminded of this yesterday when I passed no less than seven U-Haul trucks.

Of course, I”m not sure whether it’s impressive that there were seven in the complex at the same time, or whether I should be surprised that there were only seven, in a complex with over 100 leases…

So, yep.

That was yesterday. People start moving in soon, so I guess even MORE of the moving trucks will be showing up. Whee!

Happy Thursday!
