So. You know those times when you wake up, maybe feeling like you forgot to do something, but you go about your day like normal? And then you realize a few hours later that you totally forgot to pre-write your daily blog-post the night before?
Because I’m not saying that I do. I’m just asking. For a friend. You know.
In related news, sorry this post is late. I’ll blame the dragons for this one.
…You are really going to pin the lateness of the fluff post on the dragons? Why in the world would they wish to intervene in something so trivial?
Maybe because it’s so trivial, and they have something against trivialities?
Also, would you prefer I ask why you didn’t post one? It used to be that you’d jump on every opportunity I gave you, intentional or not.

Hello.
I’m not sure if you saw yet, but 2016 claimed another celebrity. This time, Gene Wilder. He was the star of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, as well as a variety of other movies. (But I was first introduced to his acting through the one I mentioned.)
So, in honor of him, maybe sometime this week track down a copy of that movie (or one of his others) and give it a watch.

Hello!
Yesterday, I went to a Sizzler for the fist time in a while. That brought to mind the old post where Fluffy analyzed a Sizzler Commercial from 1991 that featured a song that was extremely patriotic. (Possibly at least as patriotic as songs that are considered patriotic.)
So, yep. Also, it appears that they still keep some of the Patriotic motif going in Sizzlers these days; the back of one of the team shirts had something about “pledge allegiance” or something like that. I don’t remember.

Hello!
It’s Friday. So, it’s basically the weekend. Yay!
In honor of that, I thought I’d give you another link that can help you stave off boredom this weekend. It’s the behind-the-scenes for the Hillywood Show Sherlock Parody.
(As a note, yesterday the parody got to OVER ONE MILLION VIEWS! In about FOUR DAYS! So, yep.)

Hello!
Ok, so I encountered Internet Information about a type of craft I REEEEAAAALLLY want to try… As of right now, anyway. (If I’m feeling this way tomorrow, I may actually order the material.)
The material is easily moldable plastic. Like, “you pour the pellets into warm-to-hot water, let it sit, then mold it, and wait for it to cool” easy. Some of the things you can do with it are incredible, too!
One company has a monthly contest, and one of the winners was a Ninja Figurine. And it looks professional quality!
I realize I’m not going to be there for a looong time… but one of the best parts? The material is reusable. Don’t like the way something came out? Throw it back in the hot water, and it becomes re-formable.
Given that a starter amount is about $10 from Amazon, it is incredibly tempting… Again, I’ll see. But who knows- you might be seeing some plastic sculptures from me soon.

Hello!
Somebody shared this recently, and it was weird enough that I had to use it as “fluff material.”
It’s someone’s version (/attempt) of the Imperial March from Star Wars in a Major Key, instead of its usual minor. There are a few chords I’d have modified, but it still works. So, here it is!

Hi!
So. In case you missed it. The Hillywood Show, whose YouTube song-style parodies I’ve written about before, released their new Sherlock Parody on Saturday!
Today, I’m going to discuss some of the things that have stood out to me after re-watching far more frequently than I will necessarily admit…
(And after having seen all the released behind-the-scenes footage.)
1) OH MY WORD THE DANCING. The poolside scenes and the stair scenes are both still just astonishing. Even after watching this a few dozen times… Or however many it’s been. The two sisters are just so synchronized. And the choreography itself is “bloody awesome.”
2) The voice actors. They are fantastically close to the voices of the actual Sherlock and John. I don’t know how the sisters found them, but they did a great job!
3) It will be hard to demonstrate my fandom is the Hillywood Show if I ever go to a con and cosplay. As in, the impersonations are to dang good. If I try to show my support for Hillywood by dressing as one of their characters, I’ll actually end up dressing like one of the originals. (So I guess I’d just need to learn and memorize the choreography in order to demonstrate which one I’d be actually dressed as?) Anyway. It’s the tragedies in life. You know.
4) The Jim Moriarty was also fantastic. The way they got the “crazy-eyes” just perfect was, well, perfect. So, yeah.
5) The use of violin. I’m not exactly a fan of the original song. (It’s due to friends of mine that I was even aware of its existence.) So, one thing I really appreciate about this is the use of violin instead of saxophone. (At least, I’m guessing sax). It does just so tie the two together in an immediately discernible way. And the violinist they found was great, too! So, yep.
