New Hobby: Extinct Animal Hunting

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I understand that today marks the beginning of a weekend for most of you. (You have my sympathies if it does not hearken a weekend.)

In light of that, and the time you will have, I offer up an apparent new hobby some on your world seem to have developed: Extinct Animal Hunting.

At the very least, I assume it must be a new hobby, since animal rights activists have been vocally against this activity, as demonstrated by various comments on Steven Spielberg’s picture with a no-longer-living triceratops.

If you do manage to figure out how this hobby works, please let me know?

Enjoy your weekend!

A dog from a dog

Greetings, readers!

I hope you are having a good week.

I came across something rather, ah, remarkable yesterday on the internet.

Someone posted a picture of their husky and what appears to be another husky. Except, it is not exactly what you think.

The person with the husky groomed the dog, and took its hair to “create” another miniature husky.

It is simultaneously remarkable, well done, and bizarre.

I hope your week ends well.

Quote of the Day

Hiya, Fluffsters! Happy Wednesday!

So yesterday, I was reading old AP news articles. (Don’t ask.)

One of the quotes was rather amusing. Context: discussion of Argentine beef. Quote: “This steak is so healthful, it could almost pass itself off as a vegetable: low fat, hormone free, 100 percent organic.”

I’m going to start calling my steaks “vegetables” now… Anyone else want to join me?

Potato-Salad is making the news.

Greetings, readers.

I would imagine that many of you have encountered this event already, but I thought I would inform you of it despite that fact. As such, I am here today to let you know that there is a Kickstarter campaign for a Potato Salad.

You read that correctly.

The creator of the campaign originally requested $10 for his potato salad- he has never made potato salad before, and wanted funding for it.

It is now fully funded, with more than 20 days to go, with over $30,000 pledged. Yes, you read that correctly as well.

You might want to visit the page. It is rather amusing how simplistic it is, and how bizarre some of the questions and prizes are.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

One More Reason why Spinning Is Fantastic

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

As the weekend has come to a close, and therefore a lot of extra time for fun activities, I wanted to share with you one more advantage of having a hobby be spinning. As in, spinning yarn.

When spinning is a hobby, you can do fun things at the same time. Like watch Dr. Who. Or listen to Welcome To Night Vale. Or even have a conversation with a friend.

Basically, you can do pretty much anything that doesn’t require hands. And so it’s a lot of fun. I recommend it.

Anywho, happy Monday! I hope your week goes well.

Camo Jellybeans.

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Sunday!

Yesterday, I saw one of the more interesting things for sale. They were supposedly “Camo” Jellybean packs. One of the pack types was pink.

I don’t exactly get how jellybeans can be camouflaged to begin with. Pink camo makes even less sense.

What are your thoughts?

China is making Environmentally Friendly Towers

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers! I hope you are having a pleasant weekend so far.

I encountered a rather interesting article the other day, and I thought I would share it with you. It is perhaps not quite as fluffy as some things here, but it is difficult to out-fluff either the color scheme or the logo, so that is unsurprising.

The article in question discusses China’s new building project: An environmentally helpful set of towers. If it works out as it is supposed to, these buildings could be very interesting. Not only are the towers to be the two largest towers in the world, they will supposedly help clean the environment in the area. Especially given that China is home to some very polluted cities, supposedly, this is quite interesting news and technology. It would be interesting to inspect the technology more closely.

I wish you a happy Saturday.

Things To Do For the 4th of July That Require No Planning

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hello, Fluffsters!

Happy 4th of July! Especially to any Americans out there. I mean, happy 4th of July to everyone, but it’s a bit more of a holiday for Americans than for others. You know.

So in honor of today, I came up with

Some activities you can do that require no prior planning:

a) Sit in a corner and think. Unless you don’t have a corner. In which case, just find somewhere else to sit. You might, if you have the materials, even take a picnic blanket and some food and go down to your nearest park, especially if it’s walking distance. Otherwise, don’t bother- the parking probably isn’t worth it.

2) Read a book. Now, you might be thinking this requires some pre-planning. But it does not. You are looking at this blog post on the internet, so therefore you have internet access. If you have internet access, you have Project Gutenberg access. You therefore also have access to a large, free library. Enjoy your free ebooks!

That’s actually about what I can come up with for activities that require no pre-planning, and that are actually different from each other. I mean, seriously. I could mention think about story ideas, or imagine something, but that’s essentially the same thing as sitting in a corner and thinking. So, yeah.

Happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend!

A nice feature I found on my computer!

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Hi, Fluffsters! Happy Thursday!

So, I just discovered a really, really nice feature that came with my new computer.

Of course, it’s only really nice because the computer itself has a slightly more than slightly annoying, uh, “feature” with it… but that’s beside the point. Because there’s a way to fix that problem, and I’m now happy with that!

You see, my mouse touch thingy was a bit too sensitive. Especially while I was typing. I can’t tell you how many paragraphs from fluff posts I’ve almost entirely deleted, before realizing my mistake.

… It is almost a pity you did discover the problems.

Well if I hadn’t, the grammar would have been even worse than usual.

It is as I said: almost a pity.

Ah. You’re too kind.

I know.

Oh. That was sarcasm again, wasn’t it?

Anywho.

So, what I discovered is that there’s a way to set my mousepad thingy feature so that if I double-click in the upper lefthand corner, it turns my mousey off. Or on, if it’s off already.

It is so nice to have control over my computer again!

Just to clarify, Webmaster…

Yes, Fluffy?

We received all that buildup for… a single sentence?

Technically two.

I guess you are correct.

Anywho. Have a great day!

Different Images of Beauty

Note: If this is your first time to TotalFluff, please visit this brief explanation. Thanks!

Greetings, readers!

I hope that life on your world is going well.

Speaking of your world, I encountered a rather interesting article that illustrates different cultures’ perceptions of beauty. It is quite interesting.

What happened was that a young woman was curious about the topic. She therefore took a picture of herself, and sent it to photoshoppers around the world.

The results are quite interesting, as they show a variety of changes based on the culture.

I encourage you to check it out. It was interesting.
